Ray and Vicky Arnold are honored to be named the 2025 Doodle Soup Grand Marshalls. They appreciate the Doodle Soup Committee for selecting them as we celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Bradford Doodle Soup Festival.
Ray and Vicky are well known to the town of Bradford. Ray and Vicky are both very active and love living in our family-oriented town of Bradford. They have raised their three children here in Bradford; Christa, Sherri and Michael.
Ray, a Bradford native, was a truck driver in his earlier years before becoming the plant manager at Jeanell Foam in Bradford. He is now at Best Wade Petroleum in Gleason.
Ray has served as City Alderman many years. He has also served 8 years as the City of Bradford’s Mayor. While Mayor it was his goal to see the city run as smoothly as possible, while his main goal was to always be there to listen and support the citizens of Bradford. While Mayor, he worked hard to bring in new businesses to the town. One of the ones that has been very beneficial to the town was the Dollar General Store. Although not your mayor at this time, Ray will always be a phone call away to help anyone.
Vicky was not a native of Bradford, however, since 1970, she has been an active citizen of Bradford. She was a hairdresser in her earlier days. She was a stay-at-home mom until her children started school. She then worked at WSW Apparel in Bradford until 1997. Since then, she has resumed her role as a homemaker. She is a member of the Bradford Senior Citizens.
Vicky has been an active longtime member of the Bradford Doodle Soup Committee for many years. She has cooked many gallons of Doodle Soup each year.
Ray and Vicky enjoy family time. They have three children: Christa (Wade) Davidson, Sherri (Randy) Huffstetler and Michael (Shelly) Arnold. They have five grandchildren; Abby (Tanner) Smithson, Grant (Taylor) Huffstetler, Kendall (Jeb) Woods, Blake Davidson (soon to be granddaughter; Kylee), and Claire Arnold. They are great grandparents to Ellery Smithson and Callie Woods.
